The business reported a net revenue of €76m in response to growing demand for its technology across its core markets of Sweden, UK, France, Germany and Norway. In 2020, it facilitated over 1.5 million video consultations - a 117% growth in meetings year-on-year - and currently employs over 2,000 doctors, nurses and psychologists across Europe, a 100% increase on the previous year, while its tools are being used by thousands of clinicians in over 30 markets globally.
Over the last year, Kry has expanded its reach through the acquisition of patient communication platform Mjog - and in 2021 so far has sent 65 million messages to patients across the UK - as well as Swedish healthcare company Helsa Vårdutveckling AB. It has also announced several strategic partnerships with healthcare organisations including BMI Healthcare and Boots to enable more patients to access high quality healthcare.
Earlier this year, Kry closed a Series D funding round and secured over $300m (€262m) to fuel its expansion plans and continue its growth. This raised the company value to over $2 billion. The company is currently scaling its platform, building on both its operations as a healthcare provider and its innovative software offerings as well as pursuing further geographic expansion, bringing the benefits of its technology to millions more patients across Europe.
Johannes Schildt, CEO and co-founder of Kry, said: “This year we’ve experienced a large increase in demand for our technology – in part due to the Covid-19 pandemic and increased use of digital tools in healthcare – and rapidly scaled our business to meet this. All is in line with our growth plans and ambition to provide as many patients as possible with access to high quality healthcare. We’ll continue to work in partnership with healthcare systems, governments and clinicians across Europe to build the world’s leading healthcare platform.”
