Johannes Schildt Appointed as New Chairman of the Board of Directors at Kry

Johannes Schildt has been appointed as Chairman of the Board for Kry, with Kalle Conneryd Lundgren now taking over as Chief Executive Officer.

Johannes Schildt, one of Europe’s leading entrepreneurs and founder of Kry will take up the role of Chairman of the Board of the digital-first healthcare company. While Kalle Conneryd Lundgren, who has been Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operations Officer (COO) will take up the role as full time Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Founded in 2015, the company operates healthcare in Sweden, the UK, France and Norway. The business comprises of 60 clinics that are integrated with digital care. Kry, which has 4,000 employees, is active in primary care, specialist care, occupational health care and from 1 January 2025 will run its first local emergency department.

Johannes Schildt, founder and incoming chairman of the board of Kry said: "I founded Kry out of the frustration of not being able to get in touch with healthcare. Since then, Kry has helped millions of patients. Today, we are profitable in all markets where we are present and have shown that we have a stable platform for continued growth.

Kalle Conneryd Lundgren has worked as Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer of the Kry Group. Kalle Conneryd Lundgren has studied theoretical physics and has a doctorate in biochemistry and biophysics. He is also a surgeon and is a senior physician and associate professor of reconstructive plastic surgery. Kalle has worked in the USA, Taiwan, England and Germany and before joining Kry was the Chief Operating Officer of Karolinska University Hospital.

Kalle Conneryd Lundgren, incoming CEO of Kry said: "Kry has made digital healthcare available to patients. Now we will also make physical healthcare accessible. Our technology and our operational model – the Kry model, means that we can help up to three times more patients with the same resource consumption compared to traditional primary care, and we see the same development in the other segments where we operate. It is this type of improvement that is required for healthcare in Europe to meet the challenges posed by an ageing population and skyrocketing healthcare costs."
